Historic K-12 Investment: Secured a $19.8 billion investment in K-12 education, eliminating funding gaps and increasing support for special education and facility upgrades.
Early Childhood Education: Invested hundreds of millions of dollars into early childhood education to help students learn to read sooner and more successfully.
HUBS Program: Passed the Hall Universal Breakfast and Lunch in Schools program into law, giving every child access to free breakfast and lunch programs statewide.
Reading by Third Grade: Advanced a plan to guarantee students can read by third grade, increasing accountability and giving families new tools.

Veterans Mental Health
Our veterans served with honor and deserve strong support when they return home. Matt Hall championed bipartisan legislation to expand access to critical mental health services.
Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention: Established the office within the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency with better data collection on mental health and substance abuse.
Statewide Outreach: Created a statewide outreach program providing resources for service members, veterans, and their families.
Buddy to Buddy Mentorship: Passed the Buddy to Buddy Volunteer Mentorship Program into law for more veteran-to-veteran support.
Transition Support: Launched transition programs focused on mental health and civilian life for National Guard members.
