Making Michigan More Affordable
Lowering Costs for Families and Small Businesses
Skyrocketing property taxes, energy bills, and government overreach are squeezing Michigan families and small businesses. Matt Hall is leading bold reforms to cut costs, deliver real relief, and help families thrive without raising taxes.

Lower Utility and Energy Costs: Proposing a plan to force utilities to roll back rates by over $1 billion and freeze them, wiping out the last three years of electric rate hikes.
No Tax on Tips, Overtime, and Social Security: Delivered tax relief that put more money back in the pockets of working families and seniors, saving more than 650,000 people about $4,000 per year.
Support for Small Businesses: Working to reduce insurance and regulatory costs while making sure small and medium-sized businesses get their fair share in economic development programs.
Fixing Our Roads, Saving Your Dollars: Led the effort to secure a multibillion-dollar roads plan that repairs local roads and bridges without raising taxes on drivers.
Matt knows you deserve value for your tax dollars, not a government that takes more and more but delivers less.
Grow Our Economy, Cut Waste, and Deliver Real Accountability
Economic Growth and the H.E.A.T. Plan
Michigan families and small businesses are struggling under burdensome regulations and wasteful government spending. Matt is fighting to make Michigan more affordable and competitive by lowering taxes, slashing red tape, and ensuring every taxpayer dollar is spent wisely.
Passed the H.E.A.T. Plan into Law: Historic reforms increase oversight of taxpayer-funded projects, reduce conflicts of interest, bring legislative spending into the open, and give voters more information.
Respect Tax Dollars in Economic Development: Hold programs accountable with audits, clawbacks for failed deals, greater transparency, and input from local communities.
Cut Regulations and Red Tape: Create a one-stop platform for businesses to interact with state agencies and review outdated rules, paperwork, and licensing.
Strengthen Workforce Programs: Evaluate and reform state programs to eliminate duplicate efforts and ensure the best programs deliver real skills, jobs, and opportunities.
Matt will continue working across the aisle when possible to deliver tax relief, economic growth, and value for every hard-earned taxpayer dollar.
